11-A Mavs in Spring Fling Championship Game
After shaking the rust off in game 1, a resilient 11-A Mavs squad rallied for 3 consecutive wins to reach the championship game in the 2nd annual Big Leagues Academy Spring Fling Tournament!
Braving the early morning cold over the weekend, the Mavs made a great start to the 2011 campaign. Pictured below are coaches Thompson, O'Donnell, and McAlister with the team hoisting a tournament trophy. Let the season begin!
Older Players Certified to Ump Younger
Helping to keep UMYBL players in the game through their teens, 13+ players who still play for UMYBL will umpire select UMYBL Rookie League games this season. They will be trained by Dennis Helmstetter at George's Field, at noon. Sunday.
