A 4-3 Inter-League Battle for the Record Books

Yesterday's match between Central VA United's only two U15 teams provided great drama on a beautiful fall morning. For Galaxy players, the only thing missing was the final score. But this intense game had more great individual moments than you can count. Congratulations to our front line strikers, who each scored one goal. Caleb and Colin gave us the lead at halftime. Quinton's unassisted goal in the second half from about 20 yards was a great display of skill and refusal to be turned away.

The game would swing back and forth with dominant play by each team during the 70 minutes of this classic. Although Galaxy dominated play in United's half for the final 15 minutes of the game, the close shots would not find the net.

The Galaxy player of this game was Bob in goal. Time after time his saves would frustrate heavyweight shots on goal. These saves helped the rest of the team turn up the intensity.

The season's first half is in the books. Now the team looks forward to more focus and intensity as we prepare for Stewartsville in next Saturday's away game.
